Three young authors, the children of Australian Baroque musicians Helen Kruger and Emma and Ben Vanderwal, have dreamed up a story about the pets they love: The Extraordinary Adventures of Furry Friends.
Now they're bringing it to life on stage alongside their musician parents, with live classical music woven through every twist of the tale. It's story time the way it should be: outdoors, in the sunshine, full of joy, with a real orchestra.
It's completely free, part of the Bean Bag Proms at Barking Gecko Arts' AWESOME Festival. Spread out a picnic rug, bring the kids, and make a morning of it.
