West Australian Opera and Australian Baroque

Join West Australian Opera principal artist Emma Pettemerides and Australian Baroque for V’Adoro, I Love You. A musical journey through the many phases of love. From the very first kiss, to taking the last breath...Love evolves and grows in form. It changes us, it deepens, it fails, it breaks, it strengthens, it deserts, it consumes...  Love is always a central theme of our lives and the powerful emotion has inspired countless pieces of literature, music and art throughout history. In this performance we follow 'love's' journey, filled with highs and lows, through the music of Purcell, Rameau, Handel, Vivaldi and Pallavicino and the words of love's greatest poet, Shakespeare.

“Thy sweet love remembered such wealth brings
That then I scorn to change my state with kings."

The exquisite program is the second in our four-part series in collaboration with West Australian Opera, celebrating the grandeur of the Baroque era.

Tickets: From $25
